Never use this agent as an emergency or crisis service. It is not monitored by a human, cannot alert emergency services, and may be unavailable.
1. What this agent is not
The Life Coach agent is software that structures goals, suggests exercises, highlights patterns and maintains an evolving profile. It is a tool for personal reflection.
It is not a health service. This agent:
- does not practise psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is a reserved activity in Quebec, governed by the Professional Code (RSQ, c. C-26, s. 187.1 et seq.) and reserved to physicians, psychologists and holders of a permit issued by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec;
- is not a psychologist, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, physician, social worker, sexologist, guidance counsellor, marriage and family therapist or dietitian;
- makes no diagnosis, suggests no treatment, prescribes nothing and recommends no change to any medication;
- establishes no therapeutic relationship, creates no duty of follow-up and provides no continuity of care;
- is covered by no professional order, no code of ethics, no professional liability insurance and no professional complaint mechanism;
- is not reimbursable by any insurer or by RAMQ.
Exchanges with this agent are not protected by professional secrecy.
2. Limits of the agent
- Content is generated by a language model: it may be inaccurate, fabricated, simplistic, biased or ill-suited to your situation.
- The agent does not know you beyond what you write to it and perceives neither your tone, nor your state, nor your real context.
- It may completely miss signs of distress, danger, abuse, mental health disorder or crisis.
- It may be excessively affirming or agreeable and reinforce you in a harmful idea.
- It does not replace a human relationship, a support network, or a qualified professional.
3. When to consult a professional
Consult a qualified health professional, in particular if you experience: persistent distress, anxiety or depressed mood; suicidal or self-harm thoughts; an eating disorder; problematic substance use; violence, abuse or exploitation; difficult grief; persistent sleep problems; or any situation affecting your daily functioning.
Access points in Quebec: your family physician, a clinic, 811 (option 2, Info-Social), a CLSC, the Quebec Program for Mental Disorders, the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (ordrepsy.qc.ca) or the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux (otstcfq.org).
4. No professional advice of any kind
This agent provides no legal advice, no financial advice, no tax advice, no medical advice and no certified career guidance. For those matters, consult a member of the relevant professional order.
5. Your information
What you share with this agent may be highly personal and sensitive. This information is stored in the agent's dossier, inside the isolated data volume of your workspace.
Bear in mind that:
- this dossier is shared among the members of the same family workspace — it is not a private vault per person;
- this dossier may be lost (beta version, no backup guarantee);
- this dossier is destroyed with the workspace, including after seven days of inactivity on a Discovery plan.
Share with this agent only what you are willing to see potentially lost or visible to the other members of your workspace. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Minors
This agent is not designed for persons under 18. Use by a teenager within a family workspace is the responsibility of, and must be supervised by, the workspace holder. For young people: Tel-jeunes, 1-800-263-2266 or tel-jeunes.com.
7. No guarantee of results
No result is promised: no improvement in well-being, no achievement of a goal, no behaviour change, and no resolution of a difficulty.
8. Your legal obligations
8.1 Do not perform a reserved activity
You may not use this agent to perform or simulate the performance of an activity reserved by the Professional Code or by a professional statute: psychotherapy, psychological assessment, diagnosis, intervention with a person presenting a mental disorder, assessment of a child in the context of a judicial decision, or any act reserved to a member of a professional order.
You also may not use a reserved title (psychologist, psychotherapist, social worker, sexologist, guidance counsellor, marriage and family therapist, dietitian, physician) on the basis of content produced by this agent.
8.2 Do not support other people with this agent
In accordance with the strictly personal use set out in section 4 of the Terms of Use, you may not use this agent to support, coach, assess, advise or follow another person, whether compensated or not: client, patient, employee, student, support group member or program participant.
This also applies to professional use: a coach, counsellor, teacher, manager or health professional may not use this agent in the course of their duties, nor place another person's file or confidences into it.
8.3 Third parties' information
Do not place another person's personal information into this agent — name, diagnosis, situation, confidences — without their consent, and never where it is information for which a business or organization is responsible. You remain responsible for the lawfulness of what you place there.
Do not record or transcribe any conversation with another person without the consent required by law.
8.4 Reporting obligations
This agent reports nothing to anyone. It does not detect dangerous situations and notifies no authority.
If you have reasonable grounds to believe that a child's security or development is in danger, the Youth Protection Act requires a report to the Director of Youth Protection (DPJ). That obligation is personal to you. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
8.5 Minors
Use by a person under 18, within a family workspace, requires the supervision and consent of the workspace holder.
9. Exclusion of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Savantis AI assumes no liability for, among other things:
- the decisions you take — personal, family, professional, financial or otherwise — following an exchange with this agent, including the decision not to consult a professional;
- inaccurate, fabricated, ill-suited, insensitive or harmful content produced by the model;
- the failure to detect distress, suicide risk, danger, abuse, a situation of violence or a health disorder;
- the absence of intervention, alert, report or follow-up, this agent being neither human-monitored nor an emergency service;
- an interruption of the Service or unavailability of the agent, including at a difficult moment;
- the loss, corruption or disclosure of the agent's dossier within a shared family workspace;
- the worsening of a condition or the absence of improvement.
The limitation of liability and the cap in section 13 of the Terms of Use apply.
Mandatory limits — important here. The foregoing exclusions do not apply to bodily or moral injury, nor to injury caused by intentional or gross fault (art. 1474 of the Civil Code of Québec), nor to the extent prohibited by section 10 of the Consumer Protection Act. A clause purporting to exclude liability for bodily or moral injury would be of no effect, and Savantis AI does not seek to rely on one.
10. Acceptance
By using the Life Coach agent, you acknowledge that it is a software tool, that it provides no health care or psychotherapy service, that it is not an emergency service, and that you will consult a qualified professional for any physical or mental health concern.
